Goals & Objectives

Warwick PAL was formed to achieve the objective of promoting the physical, mental, and moral well being of the children of the City of Warwick. It is a further objective of Warwick PAL to instill in children the ability to participate in team sports and to compete in a fair and sportsmanlike manner, which in turn prepares children for the challenges and responsibility of adulthood and citizenship. Additionally, it is the objective of Warwick PAL to instruct children of the democratic principles and traditions upon which our society is based and to strengthen the sense of community as well as fostering a relationship between the children of the City of Warwick and the Warwick Police Department.

Warwick PAL is more than a sports or recreation program, in that Warwick PAL strives to develop responsibility, character, and leadership values in boys and girls, while generating their respect for law and order and the men and women who uphold the law as their livelihood. Warwick PAL endeavors to enhance a child's self-respect and esteem by channeling their energies and worthwhile directions, supporting and encouraging interest during a child's impressionable years. It is the intention of Warwick PAL not to discriminate on the basis of race, religion, gender, physical or mental handicap, or national origin

PAL endeavors to enhance a child's self-esteem by channeling their energies in worthwhile directions, supporting and encouraging interest during a child's formative years.
